Q: 2011 Ford F-150 Eco Boost V-6...... Pricing Info, anyone?
Thanks
Do you have a link? B/c I didn't find it there (why I asked here)....
A: I have been following this closely and Ford have nothing to say until the Texas State Fair in September. Officially there is no info to this date, and I talked to a Ford contact yesterday.
Q: How much do u think a 2006 Ford F-150 extended cab, will cost in 2010 to 2011?
?
A: you can get an 03 f150 4x4 supercrew with less than 50k miles for 8 grand now..so the resell isnt great
Q: Is there any V8's in the Ford F-150's foreseeable future?
So Ive been hearing alot of talk about the new Eco-boost Turbocharged V6 for the 2011 F-150's. Power is supposedly going to be around 340hp and 340lb/tq? I think that's great and all, But I hope that at the very least Ford keeps at least one V8 in the F-150 lineup. I'm fond of V8's call me old fashion but I would much prefer to have a good V8 over a good V6. I think that either the 6.2L or 5.0L from the Raptor and Mustang would be great candidates for a top line engine for the F-150's. Personally I would like to see an engine line up like this.
3.5L Ecoboost as Base engine (Replacement for 4.6L 2v V8)
5.0L Coyote as Opt engine (Replacement for 4.6L 3v V8)
6.2L Boss as Top engine option (Replacement for 5.4L 3v V8)
340hp from the ecoboost would make it the most powerful base engine in any 1/2 ton truck with best fuel economy as well.
And a 380 to 400hp version of the 5.0L V8
And maybe an up tuned 450hp version of the 6.2L V8 as top engine. I have read that the 6.2L is designed to be able to reliably handle at least 500 un boosted hp. So if Ford tuned for about 450 to 480hp that would put them far enough ahead of their competition and still give them room to tweak and modify some.
I dunno that's just my thoughts but in all honesty does anyone know if their is any V8's in the F-150's foreseeable future?
A: don't see the v-8 going any where to many construction companies like the big v-8 for the pulling power they maybe are going to use them only in fleet models
Q: When will the 2011 F-150 come out?
I already see the 2011 Mustang and Fiesta being advertised on Ford's website.
Also, is Ford going to have that new ecoboost V6 engine on the 2011 F-150s?
A: Sometime between mid-agust and early september. Go onto Ford's website and do some poking around. Good luck!
Q: Should I sell my truck?
As of late, I've been exhausting a lot of energy into buying a new truck. Currently, I am 19 years old. I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with no money owed on it. It just had a new transmission put in it, and is warrantied until 2011. The truck has 120,000 miles on it. I love my truck, and I've dumped a lot of money into it stupidly. The truck runs and looks really good, but I worry that things may start falling apart on it. The bank pre-approved me for a $15,000 loan, and I'm trying to sell my truck for $7,900. Does this sound like a good idea? I'm looking for an '07 and up Toyota Tundra of Ford F-150. I'd be paying $282 a month with the loan.
A: Your truck is an '01 I say keep it since you don't owe anything on it. That's 6 years newer than anything I've ever owned. Just because the bank approves you for 15,000 doesn't mean you should spend that. remember they'd rather get half the money and the truck instead of the interest off the loan. Unless you've got a career and not a job hold on to what you have. I've seen a lot of people your age go belly up like that.
